eoTouch Merchandiser – Employee Activity

With the Employee Activity feature your supervisors can see each of their merchandisers’ current location, where they’ve been so far today, and how much time they spent at each account. The initial map view shows the current location of all merchandisers the supervisor manages, as well as the total number of visits scheduled for the day broken down by remaining and completed. You can then drill in to a particular merchandiser or account to see more detailed information about their activities, including any merchandisers who have been idle for an extended period of time.

Setup

Employee Roles

Only employees with both of these Sales & Delivery Roles can see the Employee Activity map in eoTouch Merchandiser:

  • Supervisor
  • Merchandiser
Employee Idle Time

Merchandiser supervisors can view real-time location and status information for their employees right in the app.

You can set the time interval when a merchandiser is considered “Idle” on a per-warehouse basis. And you can set different values for time travelling between accounts and time spent at an account.

On the warehouse’s Merchandiser Panel, set when Idle Time Tracking Starts After for:

  • Moving between accounts (Minutes between Visits)
    • Defaults for 45 minutes.
  • Working at an account (Minutes spent working at an Account)
    • Defaults to 180 minutes.

Employee Activity

Activity Data

The Employee Activity screen in continually updated with the latest merchandiser location and status information.

If you lose your internet connection, Employee Activity will continue displaying the last known information until you re-connect and get the latest updates.

  1. After Syncing, tap Employee Activity on the home screen.
  2. A map is displayed showing the current location of all merchandisers who report to you.
  3. In the top left corner you can see:
    • The total number of stops completed / remaining for the day across all merchandisers reporting to you.
    • The number of ActiveIdle, and Inactive merchandisers.
      • Tap a status to filter the map and the list below it to just merchandisers in that status.
  4. Use the expand and pinch gestures to zoom the map in/out.
    • Double-tapping the map will also zoom-in on the location you tapped.
  5. Tap the full-screen box in the bottom-right corner to reset to the initial zoom level.
  6. Swipe in any direction to move the map focus area.
  7. Tap a pin to pop-up a tooltip with:
    • Name
    • Location
    • Time the current customer was Started
    • Info button
      • Tap to open the employee detail view.
  8. Toggle Hide Completed to filter the map and list to merchandiser(s) who have uncompleted stops today.
  9. Swipe the list up / down to scroll the list.
  10. Tap and drag the handle up to extend the list to the top of the screen, covering the map.
    • Tap and drag the handle back down to return the list to its original size.
  11. The current status is listed under each merchandiser in the list.
    • Not Started – They have not started their day in eoTouch Merchandiser yet.
    • Travelling – They have started their day, but are not currently at a customer.
    • [Customer Name] – The customer they are currently servicing and the amount of time they have spent there so far.
    • Location Unknown – Your device is offline and has no saved data for this merchandiser.
  12. The merchandiser’s current progress is shown on the right:
    • Completed / Remaining stops for the day.
    • Total work time for the day:
      • N/A – They have not started their day in eoTouch Merchandiser yet.
      • [Hours/Minutes] – Time since they started their day in eoTouch Merchandiser.
  13. Tap the Info button to open the employee detail view.
  14. Tap eoTouch Merchandiser to return to the home screen.

Employee Detail View

The Employee Detail view shows all the customers the merchandiser is scheduled to visit today and the current status of each visit.

  1. The merchandiser’s status is moved to the top of the map.
  2. Customers the merchandiser is scheduled to visit today are listed in stop sequence and their location is pinned on the map.
  3. Tap a customer pin to pop-up a tooltip with the customer’s address.
  4. Tap the full-screen box in the bottom-right corner to reset to the initial zoom level.
  5. The merchandiser’s total time working and travelling is listed above the customer list.
  6. Swipe the list up / down to scroll the list.
  7. Tap and drag the handle up to extend the list to the top of the screen, covering the map.
    • Tap and drag the handle back down to return the list to its original size.
  8. The status of each customer’s visit is also provided:
    • Not Started – The merchandiser has not visited the customer yet.
    • [Hours/Minutes] – Total time spent at the customer.
      • The start and end time are also listed below the total time.
  9. Tapping a customer will zoom-in on their map pin.
  10. Tap Employee Activity to return to the employee map.
